Outfit

I just love receiving my orders from OASAP; when I come home from work it's a little gift to brighten up the day. It's that time again and this bag and the lip print dress are the latest additions to my wardrobe. I chose this dress because I'm drawn to all things yellow in recent times and the lip print is also very unique and fun. However, when I received the dress I thought it was much more flattering worn as a top with my skater skirt over the top. While the dress is of a reasonable length, there are a number of sheer panels and the lining definitely isn't long enough to cover all appropriate areas! The addition of the skater skirt creates more waist definition and I also like how the dress peeks out the bottom. I like how the yellow is broken up and is more subdued. I love the bag and I just know I'll get so much use from it. I adore hot pink and it actually comes in many other colours; I think I'll get a few others eventually. It's much smaller than I expected but that's not a problem. I probably should have checked the measurements before. I love the way yellow, teal and pink look together.

Outfit

We experienced some lovely warm weather on the weekend so I was able to wear my new dress! I can't believe I'm still able to dress like this only a few weeks away from winter; it's a welcomed change since there have been some freezing cold days lately where I've really struggled to get out of bed for work. This dress is from Review and it's my latest ebay bargain. I can't believe what a great deal it was; a beautifully designed great quality piece for a fraction of the price. I must shop there more often. I love the bright colours against the black and white background; I didn't have this concept in my wardrobe before. I also decided to wear my Seychelles heels; as I mentioned in my previous post, I've had these shoes for ages but haven't worn them much lately since the colour is difficult to style. They are now back at the forefront of my wardrobe and I've rediscovered how much I love them. I was inspired to wear them again since they match perfectly the teal flowers on my dress. Of course I couldn't resist using my unicorn bag; it's so sparkly and exciting!

Please send some positive vibes my way.

Current Loves

My favourite pieces at the moment are:

Bonne Chance Collection- Playful Kitten Dress
This week I discovered, from a fellow blogger, the site Bonne Chance Collections which has the most adorable, sweet and beautiful dresses I've probably ever seen in my whole life. The designs are so unique and totally out of this world; the prints are those of my dreams. I love all the dress prints; mushrooms, strawberries, flowers, unicorns, kittens, polka dots and gingham. This particular dress is my favourite.

I actually have the teal version of these heels which I purchased a few years ago from Modcloth. I haven't worn them in a while and then rediscovered them the other day for work. Now they are one of my favourites shoes again and I'll be wearing them non stop. I really want the purple version. The shade is so regal, classy and gorgeous. I'd find them easier to style than the teal version too.

In addition to the dress above, this is my other favourite from Bonne Chance Collections. It's difficult to see from this picture but the print at the bottom is carousels. I've never seen a print like this before and it's so pretty and sweet. The combination of carousels, polka dots and bows is the ultimate and I love the colours. This dress must find its way into my wardrobe!

I love the beautiful shade of this bag; it's so bright and happy. I don't have a blue bag so this would be the perfect addition to my collection. I've been to the shops so many times just to admire this treasure; it really is about time I own it. As you may know, Guess is my absolute favourite brand when it comes to bags so I'm always drawn to pieces like this.

This might as well be a Bonne Chance Collection wishlist; fair enough since the dresses look that amazing.  I am a huge fan of macaroons (both the taste and the appearance!) so this is a very fitting dress and would represent my style is accurately. The combination of polka dots, macaroons and bows is impressive and this is such a girly dress. It couldn't get better.

I love all the My Little Pony merchandise currently making its way around the fashion world at the moment. I noticed the My Little Pony shirt on Modcloth at the moment and the My Little Pony dresses on ebay. This mug is adorable and happy. I can just imagine it on my desk at work! I hope Modcloth is intending to restock it or that I can find it elsewhere.

Share in Style: Pink

This week I was fortunate enough to be contacted by Elena from My Name is Peggy Sue to participate in and be her partner for Share in Style. I'm particularly happy that this week's theme is pink because I have lots of pink and it's undoubtedly one of my favourite colours. I love these link up collaborations, it's such a great way to find inspiration from other bloggers. Here is my pink look:

New In

I haven't done this style of post in awhile so I thought it was about time I showed you these two new exciting additions to my wardrobe. Love them both so much

My favourite piece in the world at the moment is my new Chanel inspired pink handbag which my sister in law brought back all the way from Cambodia. It was such a sweet and beautiful gesture. It is well established that the Chanel quilted handbag in pink is my absolute dream item; I'm continually admiring it on the Internet. So she bought me my very own version. I'm very impressed with both the design and the quality. As I mentioned here, in relation to my Lady Dior look alike handbag, I'm often feel frustrated by replicas of designer bags for a variety of reasons; there are some very poor imitations out there. However, this particular bag passes all the tests in my opinion. I am so impressed by it and currently don't even feel the need to have the genuine Chanel bag (although I'm not refusing if anyone wants to buy me one!). The features I'm impressed by are the logo, the quilting, quality, chain, inside design and the beautiful colour. I've been taking it to work all week where I've received a number of compliments. I was even asked today if it was a real Chanel bag! It's a very small bag so is rather impractical for work but I love it so much that I don't let it out of my site at the moment. I understand some people say there's only one Chanel but lets be honest, how many of us have thousands of dollars to spend on a bag? Certainly not me.

These Marc by Marc Jacobs golden flats are one of the naughtiest purchases I've ever made; I've never spend so much on a pair of shoes before and it's the first designer piece I've purchased myself. In saying that I found them at an extremely reasonable price in the recent David Jones shoe sale. Ever since my mother in law bought me the Marc by Marc Jacobs mouse flats, which I posted here, I've been completely obsessed with this brand of flats. Not only are the designs adorable, they are incredibly comfortable I don't have many comfortable shoes so, in this situation, the purchase seemed justified. In addition, it's important to recognise that golden shoes are incredibly special. They are extremely regal and beautiful, sure to make a statement. I also adore both gold and silver shoes because they are extremely versatile but definitely not boring; it's the perfect combination. I also love the sweet little bow coupled with the signature Marc by Marc Jacobs logo.

What are the latest additions to your wardrobe?

My head's under water but I'm breathing fine. You're crazy and I'm out of my mind.

Today's post is rather random. It incorporates a number of miscellaneous things I've wanted to say for ages and provides an update on some aspects of my life.

File:The Great Escape Coat (Yellow) $489 front.jpg
I LOVE yellow coats at the moment. I have a number of coats but yellow has always been the missing piece from my coat collection. I particularly admire 'The Great Escape Coat' from Alannah Hill. I adore the beautiful detailing, the subtle pattern and the dressy style. Unfortunately coat is from last year's collection so the chances of obtaining it are rather slim. A few weeks ago , while browsing the Alannah Hill website, I noticed this coat suddenly appeared in the clearance section. It was reduce to $97 from the original price of over $500. I couldn't believe it, what a discount, it seemed too good to be true. Unfortunately it was too good to be true. I added the beautiful coat to my online shopping basket and proceeded to search the Internet some more. However, when I later went to pay for the coat, it was gone! I was disappointed beyond words. I contacted Alannah Hill and was informed that it had sold out and was unavailable even in all the outlet stores. Extremely unlucky! The lesson from this story is to make sure you complete your online purchases as soon as possible. Those emails we receive from Modcloth about unattended items in our shopping bags being eaten by gnomes are obviously not for nothing. If for some reason I do manage to track down this fabulous coat I'll be so happy. In the alternative, I'll still be on the look out for another yellow coat.

There's nothing quite like the power of unexpected gifts to make the day better. My aunt bought me this gorgeous cushion from Domayne a few weeks ago; she said it reminded her of me. I can see why because I adore it; anything girly and cat related is most definitely my style.  A pretty royal sophisticated kitty cat- what more could I want in a cushion? It looks super pretty in my apartment, the detailing is very beautiful. I totally wasn't expecting this gift so I appreciated it even more. These days I'm very obsessed with pretty decorations and accessories for the apartment. It used to be only clothes and shoes that tempted me to spend money but now I have added home decors to that list also. I'm always on the lookout for lovely unique pieces and I'm sure building up quite a collection. Fortunately I have a very patient and understanding husband; his objections are limited to all the pink, unicorn and cat decorations in our place.

Study guide for Capital - Harry CleaverLast week I received the most wonderful and unbelievable new; that I achieved a distinction in the subject of Trust and Office Accounting as part of the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice I'm studying at The College of Law. I'm still completely speechless. I cried so much I was that overwhelmed. My self confidence is extremely low and any boost means the world to me. I never thought I would be capable of even passing one subject at The College of Law. That's the main reason why I never intended to go and why it took over a year for me to even consider the possibility of enrolling. I also don't have much time for the course since I work full time. This is far beyond any expectations I ever had for myself. My other marks for the course are not of distinction material but it really doesn't matter. It surprises me every day that, so far, I'm getting through the course.

Panda-monium Umbrella - Black, White, Casual, Spring, Travel, Best Seller, Gals
Last week I couldn't resist purchasing this adorable panda umbrella from Modcloth. While I shouldn't be spending money, how is it even a choice when an item is this cute and unique? I cannot wait until it arrives. I think it will even make me look forward to the rain. Just look at that lovely smile and the little panda ears. I can just picture myself showing up to work on a rainy day accompanied by my new umbrella. I find myself drawn to anything panda related at the moment. Have you found any sweet quirky fashion related pieces recently?

I've been trying to remain positive on my blog and not ruin this space with my constant negativity and hopelessness. But sometimes it frustrates me to pretend that my life is all happiness, colour, pretty dresses and sparkle; that's always just a distraction from the emptiness and sadness I feel inside. I just want to be like everyone else, to fit in, to feel worthy and wanted, to have my self confidence back, to feel like there's a purpose to life, to stop hiding away from social events, to not be so angry and scared of the world. I'd give the world to be able to restore important relationships which have deteriorated over the past year. I miss them. How do you overcome fear barriers to make improvements in life? What do you do when life becomes overwhelming and it's hard to push through? What if you feel so powerless to change? How do you remain positive?

PS. Can you guess my favourite song right now?
