Wish List- Nine West Shoes

Today I have a very short post about the latest pair of shoes that I love, which I saw in Nine West this week. I adore the two tone colour scheme, the geometric cut outs at the front and of course, the Mary-Jane style. If you have been reading my blog for awhile now you may have noticed that Mary-Jane's are my favourite type of shoes right now. I think that these are just perfect. Unfortunately I don't think I will be buying them because I bought somewhat similar shoes not that long ago, I wouldn't have many places to wear them and I probably shouldn't spend the money but that certainly doesn't stop me admiring them. I can't explain how much I love these shoes right now!

Today it is Rydog's birthday so I will be staying at his house for the weekend and attending some celebrations tomorrow night. I am very excited and I think it will be one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. I'm looking forward to temporarily forgetting about university for most of the weekend because I probably won't have a chance to do any work. I think it will be the last big weekend before the end of semester so I hope that I can make the most of it. I am going to feel so BLAH on Monday once it is over.

My Vintage Vogue

Hello everyone. I cannot believe it has been over a week since I last posted. Today I was again browsing the website My Vintage Vogue, a collection of vintage fashion photos and designers from various decades. There appear to be many new inspiring pictures since I lasted viewed the website and since the 1950s/60s are may favourite vintage decades for fashion, my post is largely focused on that time.

Recently I received some comments about whether or not I decided to continue at university this semester and I have been meaning to write about this issue for awhile now. As you might have noticed I am still there and attempting to complete the semester which will be over in about three weeks.I have well passed the date for withdrawing without academic penalty and I have been feeling better than I was a couple of months ago because if I wasn't, I don't think I would have got to this point. However, I am still having difficulties appyling myself to the work and finding motivation to complete something that I find so boring and a routine that makes me feel unhapppy. I have somehow completed all my assessments, got some very average marks but I have been getting by. I am not attempting to achieve good marks this terms and I will be extremely happy if I can receive passes. I just don't have the correct state of mind currently to achieve better than this right now and I don't want to place too much pressure on myself. I know this may be the wrong attitude to university but since it is one semester I don't think it will have long term impacts. It is disapointing to know that I could achieve much better but I think that in life we have to do the best we can given the current situation. If this is all I can do right now then thats how it will have to be. In three weeks when the semester ends I hope I can deeply think about my life and sort out some of the underlying reasons for the way that I have been feeling this year.

Outfit

A few days ago I visited the park with Rydog to take some photos. We have spent a considerable amount of time together recently and I am so happy he has returned. If you have been visiting my blog for awhile you may remember some of the nautical outfits that I posted in the past which you can view here and here. I have a number of nautical clothing items so it is one of the trends that I am best at creating and wear quiet a lot. Last week when I was in Bardot I bought this skirt and knew instantly that it would be a purchase that I wouldn't regret. I have the strapless dress in the exact same design, which I love (but the weather is becoming too cold for me to wear it) and the skirt version will go well with many things in my wardrobe. I really like the gold buttons and the gold zip at the back.

I hope you are all having an enjoyable weekend. I had a very fun day yesterday since I went shopping with Rydog and his family and then went out for dinner. I have a new cardigan from Bardot yesterday which I will post on here soon. Today I am really bored since Rydog is busy working on an assessment. I should also be studying for my company accounting exam which is next week but I'm finding it very difficult to start. I must commence some practice questions soon.

New Shoes

I recently bought these beautiful new shoes from Sportsgirl. I purchased them with the intention of wearing them to Rydog's birthday party in about six weeks time so unfortunately I probably won't be wearing them for awhile. I have these shoes so early because they were on sale and I didn't want to risk missing out in case they all sold. I think they suit my personal style perfectly and the combination of high heels, mary janes and patent are some of my favourite characteristics of a shoe. I also love how they have the potential to create an elegant and classy look.

I'm so very happy that Rydog is back now. He returned on Tuesday and we spent the evening and night together. The time together went so fast but I hope we will spend lots more time catching up this week.

Outfit

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having an enjoyable weekend. My weekend is much quieter than usual with Rydog away. I miss him so very much and I can't wait until he returns on Tuesday but I am dealing with the situation, trying to be positive and fortunately half of the time is already over. I did have fun at the cinema last night when I saw I Love You Too with friends and that helped me a lot. This outfit was photographed last week and it will be my last post before I start using my new camera. I tested it the other day and I was impressed by the way it shows some details.

I am wearing my Alannah cardigan in this post that I displayed earlier on here. I bought this dress a few weeks ago because it is very versatile and can also be worn as a skirt with a cardigan over it and I like the potential to create different looks with the one item.

Clothes from my Birthday

Today I thought I would share some clothes which I received over the last few weeks but I haven't posted yet. Most of this collection of clothes (with the exception of the blue polka dot dress) I received for my birthdayfrom Rydog's family. They are all from Bardot (my favourite high street store) and Alannah Hill (my favourite designer collection). Since Alannah is designer and very expensive, I didn't have many items from her brand so I was absolutely amazed and surprised when I receieved these beautiful clothes. I love it how Rydog's mum (a good friend of mine) has such amazing taste in fashion and knows my style to always find exactly what I like. Thank you for such generousity my friends. My family were also unbelievable generous for my birthday too with my main gifts being the iphone, a diamond ring and a sum of cash and other various items which I hope to post her sometime. I can't believe it has been six weeks since my birthday and I am only now showing the gifts that I received so I am sorry about that.

This week will be difficult for me because Rydog is going away from Thursday until Tuesday of next week and I am going to miss him so much and have nothing fun to do. I know that five days may not seem like a long time and that many people go for much longer without seeing their boyfriend but for me it will be hard because we are used to spending the whole weekend together and seeing each other about every second day during the week. I will miss not being able to contact Rydog much while he is away too and he is almost my entire social life so this week will be very different to normal for me. I'm not feeling very good about it. I will need you my friends. I will probably come on here and spend some time blogging whenever I feel lonely this week and I know that will help me a lot.

I do have some good news! Rydog just bought me a new camera which is absolutely so generous and very exciting for me. I will be able to take much better pictures now because I was often frustrated by the quality of photos with my old camera . I still have another outfit post to show from my old camera which I will post in a few days and then I will use my new camera. I'm very much looking forward to testing it out.

Also a few people asked how I altered my dress in the last post to make it longer. Fortunately it had a long hem so I just had to take it down. Since it has netting underneath I had to completely remove the net and sew it closer to the bottom. I asked my mum to help me because I don't know very much about sewing.
